Emma Musimbi

Dr. Emma Musimbi (PharmD, BCPS, PMP)

Dr. Emma M. Gimose, known by her Luhya name, Musimbi, is a clinical pharmacist, public health advocate, and Founder of Musimbi Global. The organization carries her name as a reflection of the personal conviction behind its mission.

Her path into global health is grounded in lived experience. She grew up connected to rural communities in Kenya, where access to healthcare and reliable health information remains limited, gaps that continue to cost lives. That reality shaped not just her perspective, but her sense of responsibility to act.

Dr. Gimose earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree and holds advanced training in nutrition and clinical pharmacotherapy, with board certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She is also a certified Project Management Professional, bringing a systems-driven approach to the design and execution of community health programs.

“This work is about closing the gap between what is possible and what is accessible.”

Her Experience

Her clinical and regulatory experience spans Johns Hopkins Medicine, MedStar Health, where she serves as a Regulatory Health Professional supporting the development and oversight of therapies addressing major public health priorities.

She founded Musimbi Global to extend that same rigor to underserved communities, strengthening maternal health through community health workforce training, improved access to care, and referral systems that enable timely, life-saving intervention.

Dr. Gimose believes that sustainable health begins with informed and empowered communities, and is committed to building systems that make that belief a reality.
